Q: What about paperwork? Can I get that at Sure Thing Chapel?
A: No, you must obtain a marriage license from the Clark County Marriage Bureau. Our role is to sign your paperwork after your ceremony is complete and turn it in. For more information on obtaining a marriage license CLICK HERE.
Q: What if I am already married and looking for a vow renewal?
A: You can disregard all of the paperwork verbiage! We do not need proof of marriage.
Q: Do I need an appointment to use the vintage photobooth?
A: Yes! We are by appointment only, so our photobooth is reserved for our customers only. You can always visit our sister booths that are located at Velveteen Rabbit & Cornish Pasty! Check out Vintage Vegas Photobooth for more info.
Q: Is Sure Thing Chapel right for me?
A: We have fine tuned the perfect Vegas wedding and aim to make every wedding feel meaningful, fun & stress free! If you are looking for a wedding “venue” or require a wedding planner, we are probably not the right chapel for you! We are a wedding chapel that deals with a high volume of weddings. Because of that, we do not offer personalization outside of the services included in each of our packages.
Q: Are your ceremonies religious?
A: Nope! We only do non-religious ceremonies.
Q: Can I bring my own photographer?
A: Absolutely! We are the only wedding chapel in Las Vegas that allows outside photographers at no extra cost.
Q: Can I have a “first look” down the aisle?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate first looks for down the aisle. We suggest coordinating with your photographer to have a first look either at your hotel or out front before your time inside begins.
Q: What can I expect on my wedding day?
A: The doors will open at your scheduled time. You will be greeted by your officiant & can discuss whether you are exchanging personal vows/rings or if you’d like to walk down the aisle. We take a very laid back approach to your wedding day, but you can expect a short & sweet ceremony, time for a first dance (if you want it & time permits!), photos in our photobooth, & photos with your photographer if you have one!
Q: What about a bouquet?
A: If you chose to add on flowers at booking, they will be included for the couple. You cannot choose your bouquet as they are made in bulk to reduce waste! They are usually pink/red and go with the chapel! None of our packages come with flowers (except the Lady Luck!), but you are welcome to bring in your own bouquet from anywhere! Just no pampas grass please! If you’d like something custom, you can contact our florist, Lucid Juliet directly!
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located on Fremont Street in beautiful downtown Las Vegas! Our street is lined with gorgeous vintage neon signs & just two blocks from local bars. Our address is 1110 Fremont, between the “Downtown Vintage Barbershop” & “Downtown Tattoo”.
Q: Can I bring my own officiant?
A: Yes! Your officiant must be licensed in Nevada & we will not be responsible for any legal paperwork if you go this route. We require booking The Whole Shebang or The Lady Luck if you are planning on bringing your own officiant.
Q: Can we have a vow renewal?
A: Yes!! Any of our packages can be a vow renewal & it will still be the same price.
Q: What languages do you offer ceremonies in?
A: English & French!
Q: Can I have a tour?
A: You can see the entire space through our windows, any time! If you have additional questions, feel free to contact us.
Q: What if I have more than 25 guests?
A: You can add on additional guests to “The Whole Shebang” or “Wedding & a Show” for an additional $500. The chapel’s capacity is 43 guests, not including the couple & photographer!
Q: Will there be seating for everyone?
A: There are 32 seats & a bench. The rest is standing room!
Q: What about music?
A: Book one of our professional organists to play for your ceremony! We also have a sound system that utilizes Spotify if you’d like to play music from our system.
Q: Can we live stream our wedding?
A: We do not have live streaming capabilities but you’re more than welcome to bring your own & set it up!
Q: Are the heart altar & pink curtain permanent?
A: Yes! & for this reason, we don’t allow outside arches.
Q: Is parking available?
A: Yes, parking is available on the street right in front of the chapel on Fremont St. We also have a parking lot behind the building. You can enter this lot off Maryland Pwky or 11th St. It is a paid lot, so don’t forget to validate your ticket!
Q: Do you offer LGBTQIA+ weddings?
YES!! We proudly serve the LGBTQIA+ community!
Q: Do you offer polyamorous commitment ceremonies?
A: Of course! We are here for the polyamorous community & want to help celebrate your love fully!
Q: What comes with an Elvis wedding?
A: There are multiple options for Elvis to be at your wedding. Our “Wedding & a Show” package is the only package where Elvis will sing & officiate. If you select “The Sure Thing” package with Elvis, this includes Elvis officiating & plenty of photo opportunities!
Q: What comes with a “Surely the Showgirl” wedding?
A: There are multiple options for Surely the Showgirl to be at your wedding. Our “Wedding & a Show” package is the only package where Surely will perform. Wedding and a Show is a burleseque show! If you select “The Sure Thing” or “The Whole Shebang” packages with Surely, this includes Surely officiating & plenty of photo opportunities!
Q: What comes with a Burlesque wedding?
A: You’ll receive $100 in $1 bills to tip your dancer that’s included in the price. If you’d like to tip more, we do encourage that! & throwing money is encouraged! It’s Vegas after all! $$$ Our burlesque dancer will perform after your wedding ceremony! Gotta get the jitters out first!
Q: Can I have an Elvis wedding with Burlesque?
A: Absolutely!
Q: Is the chapel Kid-Friendly?
A: We do encourage an adult group for your Vegas wedding! It ain’t called “Sin City” for nothin’! We highly discourage bringing children to the chapel.
